The workshop can be found alongside the shop at Lawton Street where the family have been making furniture since the business began back in 1902.
We make handmade modern & traditional, fitted & freestanding furniture to the customers requirements and specifications.
We also offer a re-polishing, repair, re-upholstery and restoration service.
So, from a broken chair leg to a scratch on a table top, your furniture can be restored back to its original condition.

As well as our furniture retail business, we have a cabinet makers workshop where we make bespoke furniture- fitted bedrooms, kitchens, utility rooms, home offices, occasional pieces, freestanding furniture etc, all made from the best quality timbers from around the world and using modern and traditional finishing methods which have been used at Browns over the years from when the family started the business back in 1902.

Re-upholstery
We can replace old cushions with new fillings as well as repairs like re-springing and replacing broken springs or broken rails.
We re-cover modern and traditional furniture, suites, sofas, chairs, stools and dining chairs.
Restoration & Repairs
We work on all types of antique and modern furniture including chairs, tables, dressers and sideboards.
We repair damage such as sunlight, watermarks, heat, scratches and stains, to restore your furniture back to its former glory.
